Your Dream Home in Maine...

It's Closer than You Think!

Our Vision

I thought I couldn’t afford to buy a home, right up until i did it.

That’s because people have built up a TON of myths about what it takes to buy a home, especially your first home.

We want to connect as many people as possible with the resources and guidance needed to get successfully from applying, to closing on a home they can see their life in.

Yes, You Can Afford a Home.

The Down Payment

You don't have to save a fortune to buy a home. with as little as 3% down, you may qualify. many lenders offer down payment assistance up to this amount.

The Closing Costs

Some lenders offer credits for non-recurring closing costs, and you can often negotiate split or seller paid closing costs. With the right strategy, closing costs are a non-issue.

The Taxes

Property taxes are included in your mortgage payment, in what is called escrow. escrow keeps your taxes up to date and your home insured. No, buying a home will not burden you with big taxes.

Meet The Coughs

Bernard K. Cough II

Called "Bernie" by many or "Kiernan" to those closest to me, I grew up in Bucksport, Maine. I have close ties to a fair number of communities from Kittery to Saint Agatha, and back to Bar Harbor again. I have a passion for finance, cars, and local business. I serve my community as a director on the RSU 25 school board.

Family First

I live in Orland with my wife, Chelsi, and our two daughters Mariea, and Sylvia. We believe that the biggest thing missing from America right now is stable, happy families and the best way to support that is to get people into homes they can afford, where they can build that happy family.

The Way Life Should Be

I moved away when I was a young man, convinced I needed to chase a big dream. There are many great places to live in this beautiful country, but none quite like home. I want to make it easier for people to envision spending their lives here. Two things are required to make that happen, homes and jobs.

Dump Your Landlord

When you pay rent, that money is gone. when you own a home, that money goes up in value year, after year, after year. your landlord knows this, you're paying for his boat.
